Chapter Nineteen Summary
In Chapter Nineteen, Heath decides he has to get the wife hunt completed. He calls both women into his office and promises them one more meeting and if neither comes up with the right woman, it is over. Portia tries to work with Heath in her well-practiced, the client is always right, speech. Annabelle is defensive. Portia is surprised to see Heath's interaction with Annabelle. However, Portia isn't on her game. Annabelle notices that Portia's shoes do not match. Portia is scared that she will be fired. Annabelle basically expects it. She asks Heath is he is not taking any responsibility for the failure. As they leave the office, Annabelle scurries to the elevator but Portia stops by Bodie's office. She tells him that it is over.
