Chapter Fifteen Summary

Chapter Fifteen is a very short chapter. Gwen shows up at the book club retreat and Heath sees the pregnant woman and meets her husband. The book club tries to rescue her but Heath walks her away from the group for a talk.

Heath has trouble accepting that Annabelle pulled a bait and switch scam on him. He seemed to admire her trick to get his business but he does lecture her on never doing it again. He believes in being ethical and if one moves to the dark side, it is easy to continue in that vein.

The ladies sent Kevin to be sure Annabelle is okay. The ladies seem to think that the Python might do something drastic to her. They want Kevin to break up the meeting.
