Chapter Twelve Summary
Chapter Twelve begins as Annabelle and Heath travel to the retreat. Annabelle has never traveled in a private jet before. One of Heath's connections had loaned him the pilot and the plane for the trip to northern Michigan. Once they arrived at the nearest airport, they rented a car to drive the rest of the way. Annabelle drives as Heath finishes his last phone calls before the no phones bet starts. Once he is free of his phone, he plays with all the knobs and buttons on the dash. He also proves that he makes an excellent backseat driver. Annabelle threatens to stop the car if he doesn't stop.
