Chapter Seven Summary
Chapter Seven finds Heath traveling to Annabelle's home and business. He can't reach her by phone, and he is anxious to get himself invited to the party that Molly mentioned. When he arrives, Annabelle is in the middle of an argument with Mr. Bronicki about his satisfaction and wanting a new woman. Annabelle sees Heath and he tells her to finish talking to Mr. Bronicki. Mr. Bronicki says something about a nephew lawyer and that makes Annabelle call on Heath—her Harvard lawyer. Heath takes care of Mr. Bronicki in a hurry. Mr. Bronicki leaves. Annabelle turns on Heath and calls him mean. She follows Mr. Bronicki into her front yard and soothes his feathers.
