Summary

In Chapter 21, “A Great Day,” Marc invites Nathan over after camp. They take turns riding Marc's bike. Marc shows Nathan the old bicycle he bought at the junkyard and promises to help him restore it. Nathan is thrilled and the set to work immediately. Marc and Nathan get along so well that Marc can hardly believe Nathan once annoyed him so badly. Jake enters the garage and Nathan calls him “Uncle Jake,” as Marc does. Nathan then apologizes, but Jake says he does not mind. Jake says it it time for jiu-jitsu. Nathan prepares to leave but Marc explains the deal they made for Nathan's membership. Nathan is excited that he will join the class, and just as excited that he has a job at the academy.
