Summary
In Chapter 10, Misra began residing at Hilaal and Salaado’s house. Askar spent less time at the house after Misra moved in. Askar is a teenager and has befriended a girl from school named Riyo. It appeared that Askar may have been developing romantic feelings for Riyo, and Salaado once teased Askar about Riyo. One day, when Cusmaan arrived at the house to tutor Askar, Askar introduced Cusmaan to Misra. The two of them seemed to create a friendly rapport quite quickly. Gradually, the household took on a more amicable atmosphere. Hilaal, Salaado, Cusmaan, and Misra were all friendly with one another and dined together often. One evening, they went to a large religious gathering and participated in celebrations and religious rituals. Askar had a dream one evening of a large flood that swept through Somalia.
