Alexandra (Alex) Scott

At twenty-nine Alex is the junior vice president of a large corporation in New Jersey. She leaves her high stress job and trades her condo in New Jersey for a cabin and hardware store in Alaska. Although she does want to get away from the stress and monotony of her life, Alex has a second agenda for moving to Alaska, she wants to find a husband. Alex is described as being tall and attractive. When Casey first sees her he imagines she might even be a model. In addition to being attractive, Alex is also strong-willed and independent. She has the intelligence to know the things she can do by herself and the things she needs help with.
