Chapter Seven Summary

Casey wakes in the night and leaves Alex to shower. He feels guilt at having slept with her three times with no protection and he is afraid of making another mistake. He decides to make a trip. Casey tells Alex of his plans to take a trip. He warns her he may be gone as long as a week. Alex senses the tension in his voice and instinctively covers herself up. Casey is angry with himself for hurting her but swears he cannot lead her on anymore. As Casey leaves the room, Alex is sure he is walking out of her life forever.
