Summary
In Chapter 19, Cyndy Viveiros told Dosa that while she appreciated what Oscar did for her mother. Cyndy believed that the cat had really been there for her. Cyndy said she had been by her mother’s bed for three weeks waiting for her to die. Even Oscar had seemed confused by her stamina. On the day Cyndy's mother died, Oscar came into the room and first sat by Cyndy. He allowed her to pick him up and hold him on her lap for a while before he jumped onto her mother’s bed.
