Point of View

Maizy Chen’s Last Chance is written in the first person perspective from the point of view of Maizy, the protagonist. Because it is written in the first person, the reader only knows the thoughts and feelings of Maizy. This makes the story more intimate as this perspective gives insight into her experience as she encounters this new place with relatives she barely knows and with citizens who are strangers who become friends.
