Chapter 7 Summary

Once Arutha was inside the room he realized that Amos and Martin had been captured and lay slumping in the room. The man in the room that seem to be giving orders introduces himself as Aaron Cook and the small boy that misled him is Jimmy the hand. The boy boasts himself to be the finest pickpocket in Krondor and a fine thief. Cook asks Arutha several times about his business. Arutha doesn't tell cook his true identity. Each time Arutha is struck in the face for lying. They want to know why Jocko Radburn wants to find the three of them so badly. Arutha truthfully tells Cook he doesn't know why Radburn is after them.

Cook explains that Radburn is the senior officer in the Viceroy's secret police. Radburn started to keep an eye on Arutha and the others so Cooks men...
