'Maelstrom', 'Closer', 'At Inferno' Summary

Jason Blake takes Reason and Jay-Tee back to the apartment, then leaves. Reason is overwhelmed and quiet. Jay-Tee decides to take her out dancing. They go to a club called Inferno where the bouncer, a friend of Jay-Tee's, lets them in. They dance, and as they do they draw energy from the people around them, re-charging their magic. This helps Reason to feel better after Jason drained her power. Reason mentions the possibility of running away, perhaps going to Australia and hiding from Esmeralda in the Bush. Jay-Tee is not sure about this. They dance again.

As Jay-Tee dances and Reason rests, a boy comes up to Reason. He says that he is Jay-Tee's brother, Danny, and that he has been looking for his sister since she ran away. He knows that she left because of their...
