'Rescue', 'In Bazarroland', 'Top of the World' Summary
A girl called Jay-Tee has been waiting for Reason each night. She has been told by a man she refers to only as 'he' that Reason will come through the door into New York one night, and he has instructed Jay-Tee to wait for Reason and to befriend her. He has also warned Jay-Tee not to tell Reason anything about magic, and to avoid being seen by the witch Esmeralda, who might capture her and sacrifice her in a magical ritual.
Jay-Tee sees Reason wandering down the street and goes up to her. She gives Reason a coat and boots, takes her back to her apartment, and gives her pajamas and a bed for the night. She avoids giving Reason any straight answers to her questions, telling her that they are...
