'In the Witch's Bedroom', 'Into the Cellar', 'Through the Window' Summary
Reason explores Esmeralda's room. There are pictures all over the walls, two of a young Sarafina, with dried yellow flowers in the back of the frames. Reason crushes the flowers. The room is a mess but clean of dust and dirt. The wardrobe is full of black jackets, and Reason finds a black feather in the lining of one. She turns it upside down to freak out Esmeralda, as Sarafina taught her to do. She goes through Esmeralda's drawers and uses a bobby-pin to open the locked one. Inside is a key with a looped end in the shape of the infinity symbol. She takes it and re-locks the drawer. She then explores Esmeralda's bathroom and finds a hair-brush with a false back that is...
