Summary
Chapter Twenty-nine begins with Maddie thinking about Alex’s bisexuality, and his race. She googles a question about dating someone bisexual. She calls Shu and asks her about her sexuality, and how she knew she was a lesbian. Maddie makes a joke about how much maintenance vaginas are and Shu hangs up on her.
On Saturday she meets Alex for their date at a coffee shop. Maddie sees a brownie he had already bought for her, and Alex pours her some tea. He asks how she is doing and she lies, using Jo’s weekend plans she overheard. They talk about online dating and Maddie asks questions about bisexuality.
