Summary

In Chapter Eight, Eric goes on a run and comes back with the news that the neighbor’s dog, whose barking Rebecca is constantly complaining about, has been shot. Edie has not been looking for a job because she has been focused on painting. She has never painted more or better. She thinks her creativity comes in part from being pregnant. She thinks she wants to have an abortion, but she is not certain.

The police investigate the dog’s death as Edie and the family get ready for Comic Con. Edie goes dressed as Princess Leia, Eric goes as Captain America, and Rebecca goes as Harley Quinn. Akila changes out the homemade costume for a Star Trek costume bought at the store.

Parking is impossible, so Rebecca lets everyone out and says she will meet them later. Eric gets drunk and takes mushrooms...
