Harvey is called on to create obstacles for the Brotherhood Army as they begin the attack on the stronghold. The objective is to buy time for Dan to complete the manufacture of mustard gas. Harvey knows he's been chosen because he has no special service that's indispensable in the stronghold and he had served in Viet Nam. The group going to help him are largely youngsters in their mid to late teens, and Harvey knows they've been assigned to him for the same reason - they are ultimately expendable.
