Summary
In “Last Chance,” at an after-prom party Georgia Warr, the narrator, admitted to her best friend, Felipa “Pip” Quintana, that she wanted to kiss someone. She would not consider kissing either of her best friends, Pip, who was homosexual, or Jason Farley-Shaw, who had just broken up with his girlfriend. Pip told Georgia that she should kiss Tommy, a boy on whom Georgia claimed she had a crush. In return, Pip shared with Georgia that she wanted someone to spontaneously perform “Your Song” from Moulin Rouge for her.
In “Romance,” Georgia describes how she has always loved romance. She already had her wedding planned, but she had never been in a relationship. Georgia had not yet become discouraged because she believed she still had time to meet and fall in love with her perfect mate.
