November 9 - January 2 Summary

This section opens with the wonderful news that Cinnamon has been found. Arnold, the mentally-impaired young man, found Cinnamon wandering through the streets and picked him up. When the newspaper article about Stargirl's act of valor in the woods mentioned that she was missing her pet rat, Arnold's mother put two-and-two together and returned Cinnamon to his rightful owner. After being released from the hospital, Stargirl visits all her close friends and is pleased to see that even Neva has begun to cheer-up after seeing Stargirl's recovery. When they see Stargirl again, Neva, Charlie, and Betty Lou all jabber away about what Stargirl has missed. Charlie tells Stargirl about the first time he met Grace: they were six-years-old and at the fish market with their parents. The two mothers were both there to purchase the same piece of fish...
