Summary

In Chapter 20, “Ventral Tegmental Area: Romantic Love,” Bee and Levi go out for dinner with Levi’s family. Bee is shocked by how they treat Levi. In the car afterwards, Bee says she cannot believe how well-adjusted he is in light of his family dynamic. He tells her his therapist taught him “to functionally communicate” and change his reactions to uncontrollable situations (283). Bee marvels at his patience. Back at Levi’s, they have sex.

In Chapter 21, “Right Inferior Frontal Gyrus: Superstition,” Bee says “disasters come in threes” (289). She wanted this to be false until three terrible things happened. The first was a scandal with @WhatMarieWouldDo. Someone hacked her account and made her look like a fraud. All of her followers believe the real agenda of her movement is extortion (293). She messages Shmac, grateful he still supports her. Then a lawyer emails her...
