Summary

In Chapter 5, “Amygdala: Anger,” Bee and Trevor talk on the phone about Bee’s progress with BLINK thus far. When she reveals she is still waiting on equipment, Trevor blames her. He threatens to take away her position if she does not give the NIH institute head George Kramer positive progressive reports.

At work, Bee continues panicking about her position. She is even more upset when she learns she was not invited to a meeting that morning. Kaylee apologizes, but Bee blames Levi, convinced he is excluding her.

Bee confronts Levi, demanding to know why he has not responded to her emails or gotten her equipment. Because she called about the equipment and discovered he canceled the order, she thinks he is lying when he swears he is trying his best. He tells her the situation is complicated.
