Summary
In Chapter 85, on the sixth day that Coco was in the hospital, Shaokat worried out loud to Yasmin that he had been too hard on Arif. Shaokat admitted that he went about things the wrong way. Arif expected condemnation. It was why he hid the pregnancy from him. Yasmin believed it had become a matter of pride for Shaokat to save Coco’s life to show Arif how much he cared. Until that point, he could not look Arif in the eye.
In Chapter 86, on the seventh day that Coco was sick, Shaokat quizzed Yasmin on what it might mean that Coco’s hands were peeling.
