This novel focuses on the events of 9/11, when two airplanes crashed into the towers of the World Trade Center and caused their complete collapse, killing thousands in the process.

New York City

New York City is used to being the center of the action, yet the attack on 9/11 is a different kind of action. People in the city now feel vulnerable. They are careful where they hang out. Tourists stop visiting the city.

The city also becomes a place of bonding. Strangers all over the city help each other, support each other, talk to each other.

Brooklyn Bridge

The day the towers collapsed, the only way to return to Brooklyn was to walk across the bridge, and thousands of people did just that.
