Summary
Section four begins with a sentimental email from Bram to Simon on January 22nd. After spending the majority of the winter holiday together, the boyfriends once again head back to their respective schools to begin their second semester. Bram states that parting ways feels like a "tactical error" that could have somehow been avoided (80). He then recalls a fond moment at their New Year's party in which their friend, Nick, declared a touching revelation. Nick explained that when one wishes to "freeze time," what they really want is to be able to "control [their] memories" (82). Now that Simon is on a plane, Bram contemplates which moment in time with Simon he would freeze, if possible. Simon responds to this email three days later on their two-year anniversary and states that even though they are apart, he would freeze the present moment in order...
