Summary
Love, Creekwood is fashioned solely from the characters' emails rather than having the standard format of chapters. The first email of the novella entitled "I DON'T LIKE THIS" is sent from Simon (Jacques) to Bram (Bram) at 10:09 p.m. on August 28th (1). Earlier in the day, Simon drove Bram into Manhattan to his new school, New York University, then headed to his own school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The couple are already heartbroken that they have been separated, even though they have been in communication all day. The two decide to start communicating through email again, just as they did at the very beginning of their relationship. Simon is a bit flustered on his first try and states, "I've forgotten how to do emails" (1).
