Summary

In Chapter 28, The Sad Soul, the Riders release the mundane girl, who runs away to safety. Emma fights, knowing she cannot win against the six Riders. One mentions her blade, made by the legendary Wayland the Smith, but Ethna reminds them that Emma is outnumbered. Julian and the others get the doors open and join the fight. The Riders are winning the battle when Annabel arrives. She tells one of the Riders to greet the Unseelie King for her and to remind him that she knows his true name, which gives her power over him. Magnus joins the scene, supported by Dru, and the Riders are forced to run. Inside, Magnus asks why she came to the Institute. She reveals that she got a letter from Ty.
