chapter 24-25 Summary

The staff has been taken away from Drool but the cavewights begins to attack. They can hear Lord Foul laughing at them still. The Cord rushes in and says she knows the way out and they begin to fight their way out of the cave. Thomas doesn't want to leave the Bloodguard that died. Bannor pulls him away from the body. They fight their way through the cave but then a large loremaster attacks. They try to run but are forced to stand and fight. More of their company is killed. Lord Mhoram tells Thomas to raise his ring. Thomas does what he is told and he is able to shoot the large loremaster with his ring though he doesn't know how it happened. Prothal is able to cast a spell to hold the monsters back for a very short period...
