Summary

In Part 6, Chapter 1, Nancy visits a property with her real estate agent Oliver Rossiter. She hopes to find the ideal property before telling Jim her plans. When Oliver takes her to Mags O’Connor’s former property, Nancy is elated. She used to deliver Mags’s groceries and thinks she can negotiate the price. A few days later, she visits Mags at the assisted living facility. Mags nags Nancy about why she wants the property and Nancy reveals she is marrying Jim (236). Shortly thereafter, Mags agrees to sell her the property for half the price. She visits the site repeatedly over the following days, imagining the bungalow each time.
