Summary

In "That Wireless," City and Grandma arrived at Grandma's house. Her last house had been destroyed during Hurricane Katrina "eight years earlier" (57). Within a year, she had a new house "built in the same spot" (57). Sometimes, City felt like "time went fast in reverse" in Melahatchie (58).

Grandma told City to get her switch so she could whip him for his behavior on television. After the whipping, City was upset, but also felt proud.
