Agent Chris Shane

Chris Shane is the narrator and protagonist of the novel. He has been a Haden since shortly after birth. In his youth, Chris was the poster child of the Haden acceptance movement. As an adult, Chris is trying to shrug off this fame and find his own place in the world as an FBI. agent.
