Chapters 3-4 Summary

In chapter 3, Sookie wakes in Eric's office. Sookie immediately takes a bath and is then taken back to Eric's office where the vampires tell her how they saved her life by removing her blood and then discuss the creature that did this to her. It is decided the creature was a maenad, a mythical creature left frustrated by the death of its god. Eric says the maenad wants a tribute paid, which he plans to do soon. They then talk business. Eric has loaned Sookie out to the Dallas vampires who need her help. Sookie says she will only go if Bill goes and they promise not to kill any humans involved. Eric agrees to her conditions.
