Mike has now dropped out of graduate school at UCLA and is working in the Teacher Corps, one of the Great Society programs. This program sent teams of volunteers to help out in depressed area school districts. Their team of five would soon be sent to El Monte and would also be taking courses at USC, as part of the requirement of the program.
