Summary
In “Chapter 26: Now,” Tom and Elizabeth are lying in a hospital bed. He asks her to sneak him out of the hospital. They get matching tattoos of the constellation Orion. In a taxi, Elizabeth complains that they cannot get a good view of the stars from London. The driver recommends visiting Hampstead Heath. Tom and Elizabeth enjoy a view of vibrant skyscrapers. Elizabeth debates telling Tom that Kate is his daughter. He suddenly asks to see photos of Kate and Elizabeth shows him some from her phone. Tom calls Kate beautiful and says that she reminds him of Alice. He says that he wishes he could have met her.
Back at the hospital, the nurse mentions that Alice called. They video chat with Alice. Afterwards, Tom gets confused and thinks that he just spoke to Kate. Elizabeth is horrified. Tom’s memory is...
