Chapters Seven through Nine Summary

On the way to Hosteen Tso's hogan, Leaphorn wonders about Adams and whether her presence has anything to do with Fredrick Lynch. When he discovers that she's hidden in the back seat, he agrees to take her on to the hut but insists on some information and learns that she's going there to meet Tso's grandson. Leaphorn has time to wonder if the grandson is "goldrims," and arrives at the hut to discover that there's a man there who goes outside shortly after daybreak and prays. After deciding that this man must be a priest, he comes to realize that Adams has pursued the man - Father Benjamin Tso.Tso is not welcoming Adams with the same enthusiasm she exhibits, but eventually agrees that she can stay.
