Alanna of Trebond and Olau

Alanna is the adopted daughter of Sir Myles as well as the adopted member of the Blood Hawk tribe. She has always wanted to become a knight, despite her being a woman. When she was young, Alanna disguised herself as a boy and took the name of Alan. She trained as a page, then a squire, and finally attained knighthood. Only then did she reveal that she was truly a woman.

Despite the common belief that it is unnatural for a woman to a knight, and the noblemen who believe that Alanna can't be a good fighter because she is a woman, Alanna takes on a series of grueling tests and trials and overcomes each one.
