Chapter 3 Summary
The voice behind Alanna belongs to a young girl. This embarrasses Alanna, but at least she isn't forced to repeat the command. Liam hears the girl, and drops his sword. Alanna calls out to Coram, and discovers that he has also been ambushed by a young girl. He assures her that, aside from his dignity, he is just fine. When they are brought into the group, Alanna, Coram, and Liam find that this is a group of very tired children. The two girls that captured them seem to be warrior trained, but the remaining group is made up of helpless children who appear nearly dead on their feet. Liam recognizes the very beautiful girl behind Coram, and introduces himself and the group to Thayet, the daughter of the warlord who rules Sarain.
