Book 3: Imago; Section 3: Imago Summary
In chapter one Aaor asks Tomas and Jesusa several times to take it to their village. It also asks Jodahs to give it one of the Humans but Jodahs only hurts it through touch, without meaning to.
As chapter two begins Aaor is gone and comes back looking like a fish creature that cannot come out of the water. Jesusa and Tomas agree to help Jodahs get Aaor back into his form. Tomas tells Jodahs that he will not ever let Jodahs leave him.
In chapter three Aaor begins his second metamorphosis. Aaor begins to slip into a less stable form each time connection with it is ended from Nikanj or Jodahs. Tomas and Jesusa watch Aaor as he tries to die and they agree to take them to their village.
