Book 1: Dawn; Section 2: Family Summary

In chapter one Lilith is introduced to Jdahya's family and is living with them. Lilith likes Jdahya since he is the one that stayed with her in her confinement room but she is handed off to Jdahya's ooloi mate to learn more. The ooloi is Kahguyaht and Lilith feels that it does not like her and she does not like it. Lilith also meets Jdahya's ooloi child, Nikanj.

In chapter two Lilith is taken by Kahguyaht to see where some of the Humans are kept in stasis in large plants. Kahguyaht takes Lilith back home and hands her off to Nikanj explaining that the child will answer all of her questions and open the doors for her if she needs it to. Nikanj takes Lilith to see its friends.
