Summary
Page 275 is another title page, headlined, “May and June 1990” with a quote from Madonna about saying what you want. Page 277 begins Reza’s perspective as he says he thinks about sex and Art all the time, but he has not had sex with Art yet. They kiss and touch but when he thinks of more the thought of AIDS paralyzes him. They are at an ACT UP meeting with Jimmy and Stephen, listening to Jimmy talk about clinical trials. Reza talks about how they had to apologize profusely to Stephen but eventually he gave in, wanting to spend time with Art. A woman suggests that the protest of the NIH must be focused on demanding they include women and people of color in clinical trials. Jimmy and the woman talk about getting everyone from New York onto buses for the protest.
