Summary

Reza’s perspective starts on the Sunday morning as he and Tara walk together to meet her boyfriend DJ Starburst (Mossimo) for early breakfast. At breakfast, Tara and Mossimo chat and make out, Reza wondering if this kind of love will ever be possible for him. Tara asks for his advice on how to break the news that Tara has dropped out of school and is moving in with Mossimo. Tara says she is trying to be more thoughtful about breaking this news, “I just want to love who I want to love, and be who I want to be” (222). He thinks about the night she asked if he liked Art he nodded. She said to Reza, “I always knew, and I think it’s great” (222).
