Lightlark Mainland

Lightlark is the mainland of all the realms. It is ruled by King Oro, who is also the ruler of the Sunling realm. The entire island’s survival is tied to his life force. The vast majority of the book takes place on the island. It is divided into four separate Isle for four of the six realms in the book. As a realm of diverse people and large size, it represents Isla’s desire for freedom and need to get away from her previously oppressive life.

Moon Isle

Moon Isle is one of the isles within Lightlark and it is home to the Moonling realm. Outside of the palace area, much of the novel’s action takes place here, especially in the final half.
