Part Five: Chapters 58 - 62 Summary
Jimmy and Lorrie continue to talk to Punchinello. He reveals just enough about himself to convince Jimmy that he will turn them down. Lorrie tells him that he is the only one who can save their daughter's life, proving his own existence beyond a shadow of a doubt. She shows him a photograph of Annie, and explains the cancer that took both her kidneys. They she tells him about her allergy to the solution that cleans the blood in the dialysis machine and reveals that without a kidney from Punchinello, Annie has mere days to live. Punch is unsympathetic, telling Jimmy that he doesn't care that he's her uncle or that he's Jimmy's brother any more than Jimmy cared that he was his brother the last seven years that he spent in prison.
