Part Five: Chapters 53 - 57 Summary
On November 26th, which is the fourth of Jimmy's five fateful days, Lorrie and Jimmy go to the Rocky Mountain Federal Penitentiary where Punchinello Beezo is housed. Since Huey Foster helped to arrange the visit, they are given the VIP treatment and the assistant warden himself escorts them. Punchinello is chained to the side of the table, the legs of which are bolted to the floor. Beezo tells them he has earned a correspondence degree in law, although he'll never be permitted to the bar. He puts it to use by helping other prisoners with appeals and wrongful convictions. He has also learned to speak German, Swedish, and Norwegian and is working on writing a novel.
