By the next fall, Dennis was back in medical school. He ran into Ipsha and found out that she was studying together again with Kat and Hector. Ipsha told Dennis to give her a call later. Dennis met with one of the professors who asked if he had decided to pursue gastro-enterology again. Dennis did not commit. He told the doctor he was keeping his options open. The doctor showed him how to perform a colonoscopy. His professor showed Dennis how a camera was inserted in the patient so that the doctors could see the inside of the colon without having to perform surgery. When a polyp was detected, it could be removed right then during the process. He allowed Dennis to manipulate the camera through the colon. He asked if Dennis had done the procedure before.
