Jubilee “Julie” Dougal

Jubilee, who most often introduces herself as Julie because she does not like her name, is the main character and narrator of “the jubilee express.” She also appears as a character in “the patron saint of pigs.”

After Jubilee’s parents are arrested on Christmas Eve as part of a disturbance while waiting in line for the new Flobie Christmas Village piece, Jubilee has to get on a train to go to her grandparents’ house in Florida for Christmas. She is devastated because she cannot go to her boyfriend’s family Christmas party but her boyfriend, Noah, does not seem to be too disturbed.
