Summary
In Chapter 10, as she was rinsing, Addie told Christina how her friends and even Mayzie said she was too self-absorbed. Christina warned Addie to turn off the water just as it went spilling over the edge of the sink. Addie was unable to turn the water off at the faucet but a few men who were regulars at the coffee shop got it turned off. Addie apologized and insisted it was not her fault. Christina asked her to go ahead and take her break without helping to clean up. Addie continued to tick off the reasons the overflow was not her fault until Christina ordered her to leave.
In Chapter 11, Addie called Dorrie to talk about her day but Dorrie broke in to ask her if she had gotten the pig. Addie had forgotten. She hung up and...
