Summary

In Chapter Seventeen, Leigh awakens to see the house covered in frost and the door stuck. She sees Big Bodie interacting with an intruder who is threatening Leigh, firing a gun at him, which leaves him unharmed. Big Bodie throws the man’s body down the stairs. Tristin calls the police and Ty arrives. Leigh tells him about the intruder threatening her. Ty notes that the man’s injuries are much worse than a natural fall down the stairs, and he suspects Leigh hurt him. The police go through Leigh’s room, and she spends the night in Myra’s room. Myra admits that she does not believe Leigh about Big Bodie, but Leigh appreciates her honesty.
