Summary

In Chapter Eight, Tristin and Peg scold Leigh for going so far out into the woods and injuring herself. She lies and says she could not sleep and had a nightmare. Tristin says that she should talk to a therapist, but Leigh refuses, saying that she just needs time. She runs back to her room, and yells at the portrait of Little Bodie. The next day, Leigh watches Peg arrange orchids, which she says Leigh brought back with her. Leigh does not recall this. Leigh takes a shower and speaks to Little Bodie, who opens and closes the door to the bathroom in response. She offers to take coffee to Tristin, Marcus, and his other business associate Oliver. She overhears part of a suspicious conversation between the three of them before apologizing to Tristin and agreeing to see a therapist...
