Point of View

This novel is told from the first person point of view of a variety of different characters. The characters who give their points of view in the novel include Alice, Jenna, Virgil, and Serenity. Each of these characters’ points of view is important to the novel as each character has his own insights to add to the story. There are things about each of these characters and their development into what they have become that can only be shared by that particular character. Since Alice was the only person around when Nevvie was killed, she is the only one who can completely tell the story of what happened at the sanctuary the day of Nevvie’s death and leading up to that day.
