Summary
In Chapter 25, Archie and Rose took showers and tried to relax, but both felt anxious. Archie wondered if he was getting a fever and Rose felt like she needed to do something productive. She decided to make a cake. Ruth, also wishing to accomplish something, began gathering laundry, but she was distracted by thoughts of her grandsons.
In Chapter 26, Amanda asked Clay to fill the bathtubs with water in case the power went out. Clay and Amanda wondered if it would be best for them to return to Brooklyn.
